Climate change and adaptation continues to be a key focus of Fit for the Future activity, with members being keen to share and learn from each other’s approaches.  Fit for the Future is continuing to facilitate this collaboration and connect organisations to climate change adaptation research, guidance, resources and activity.

"The National Trust has recently developed its climate adaptation approach through a series of pilot workshops. In total it has honed and co-developed the approach with 40 properties. Initially the National Trust were looking at an approach which took the complexity out of decisions and would be data led, but they quickly learnt that this is impossible as adaptation is full of subjectivity and values.  Simple terms such as ‘what is an acceptable future’ has so many valid interpretations.  Working with the Climate Action Unit in UCL the National Trust has undertaken a people centred approach harvesting from the property teams lived experience and supporting this approach with the best data available.  The process is broken into 6 clear stages with actions that integrate easily into the National Trust ways of working." -

There will also be any opportunity to ask Keith questions and to join in a group discussion allowing you to share your challenges, learning, progress and questions with other members across the network.

Any member is welcome to attend, regardless of previous experience or knowledge on this topic.  The webinar will be of benefit to all network members, whatever your size and scope of operations/activity.  From organisations just starting off to those already delivering climate change adaptation strategy there will be lots to share and collaborate on, from identifying collective challenges to learning from other approaches.
