On the 27th of November we hosted the latest in our sustainability champions discussion groups. A key theme that has emerged from our previous groups is the topic of well-being, particularly how organisations are approaching the ever-increasing challenge of “climate anxiety”. The discussion group on the 27th of November focused on this topic, allowing members to share questions, ideas, approaches and resources.
Sara Bird (Safeguarding and Wellbeing Lead, National Trust) started the discussion by providing a fantastic overview of her experience and work in this area, including:
· What is eco/climate anxiety?
· Why are we talking about it in the Trust (what have we heard?)
· Wellbeing support in the Trust
· The role of Climate Cafes
Many thanks to everyone who attended and joined in the far-ranging discussion, sharing their experiences, approaches and resources. This will be an area the network will continue to focus on in 2025 and beyond. Please do get in touch with the Fit for the Future team if you have any questions, information, experience or resources to share (to help inform our future activity and support in this key area).
Members can watch the recordings and access all associated resources in their members area.
