What small steps can you take to boost biodiversity on your urban sites and why is it important?

In this event we’ll help you figure out where to start, what to prioritise and how to measure biodiversity in your urban green spaces.

No green space? No problem! We’ll provide you with some ideas for what you can do to maximise biodiversity in the space you have.

We’ll also look at how you can engage people with biodiversity and manage perceptions, as well as giving you an idea of the cost effectiveness of managing biodiverse sites.

Our presenters will talk through case studies and provide an overview of the toolkits and resources available to help you:

• Adrian Thomas is the RSPB’s Project Development Manager for their flagship Kingsbrook project in partnership with Barratt Homes, and is an all-round wildlife gardening guru.

• Jodey Peyton is an ecologist at the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology, Chair of the Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland’s Events and Communications Committee and the Vice Chair of the National Forum for Biological Recording and is really keen to explore ways to make nature accessible for all.

Join us to find out how to create biodiverse urban spaces that work for people AND nature!
