This workshop was for those members who are interested in, or already developing, ground-mounted solar PV systems. Participants were introduced to good models and for solar development. Network members, the Science Museum, hosted the day and expert speakers included Good Energy, Swindon Borough Council, Westmill Solar Co-op and Wychwood Biodiversity. Links between landowners, charities and community groups were facilitated, and delegates were provided with resources and practical steps to take back to their own sites.

Andrew Muskett, Building Projects Officer at Pembrokeshire National Park, summed it up like this: “fantastically informative day, bursting with ideas, and now I know a man who can!”

One thing that really stood out from the day was the enthusiasm for more collaboration, which is great, because that’s what Fit for the Future Network is all about.
