On the 19th March Amy Moore (Sustainability Manager at Marie Curie) provided an overview of key areas of Marie Curie’s sustainability strategy and activity to meet their commitment to reduce their carbon emissions to zero by 2050, including:

  • Marie Curie activity and its main emission sources
  • Marie Curie’s sustainability ambitions, policy and targets
  • Details of carbon reduction initiatives (including data management through their internal sustainability dashboard and staff engagement)
  • Focus on energy management/savings, showcasing their new energy management system

Amy was joined by Gus Crook (Beekeeper) at Alvéole who provided an overview on nature-based solutions such as honeybee hives, wild bee homes, and bee-friendly gardens.  By engaging people with these amenities and using technology to monitor their impact, Alvéole helps clients meet their ESG goals and drive positive environmental and social change.  Gus provided an overview of their work at the Marie Curie offices and other locations.
