Network Wins at Business Green Leaders Awards 2016

We’re very pleased to report that Fit for the Future Network scooped a Business Green Leaders award at the 2016 ceremony last night, winning in the Employee Engagement Campaign of the Year category

The Network, which is a partnership between the National Trust and Ashden, was recognised for its achievements in engaging almost 1,000 environmental practitioners from 106 different organisations in 2015 in order to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing to drive energy efficiency and renewables projects. The Business Green Leaders Awards judges said of the Network:

In this highly competitive category, the judges were won over by the reach and ambition of the Fit for the Future Network as it sought to encourage clean tech initiatives amongst both National Trust staff and wider stakeholders. The judges were particular impressed by the ‘environmental dating agency’s’ expansion to take in 80 members and almost 1,000 practitioners.

Fit for the Future Network was chosen from a shortlist including campaigns by the Bank of America, Royal Bank of Scotland, JLL and Aldi.

The awards, held at The Brewery in London, brought together over 600 executives, entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and campaigners to celebrate the green economy’s most exciting and innovative achievements from the past 12 months.

Fit for the Future is a Network run by practitioners for practitioners. We’d like to thank all those involved for engaging in the spirit of openness, honesty and sharing to make headway in tackling climate change and increasing resilience over the past three years. We’re really excited about the future as new partnerships flourish and peer-supported energy efficiency and renewables projects progress. Thanks to the judges and all at Business Green for a fantastic awards evening and for recognising the Network’s achievements and value.
