On the 29th Sept we hosted the Navigating the AI Frontier: Carbon Cost vs. Green Opportunity Webinar. Fit for the Future member the Caravan and Motorhome Club—alongside their technology partner T-Systems—presented an overview on:
- The environmental challenges of AI alongside the powerful solutions it offers.
- How to challenge your IT teams or external suppliers on their digital footprint.
- How to advocate for responsible and green tech practices in your organisation.

Fit for the Future Sustainable IT and AI Virtual Discussion Group (Wed 9th Dec, 10:30 – 12:00)
At recent Fit for the Future events and webinars we have as a network started to share our experiences, approaches and uncertainty of managing the environmental impact of using AI in tandem with other IT resources. The challenges of understanding and managing your IT and AI environmental impact are significant. In particular, the recent growth of AI has raised many questions regarding the balance between the positive opportunities it can provide in enabling environmental management innovations versus it’s negative operational environmental impact (for example it’s significant energy consumption and how it can also enable the development of fossil fuels).
This virtual discussion group will provide an opportunity for members to share and collaborate on this key issue across the network. You can find out more (and members can book their free place) here.
