As organisations develop energy efficiency strategies (often applying for funding to support the delivery of higher cost measures), key questions are often asked:
- How can we start to save energy (and money) as soon as possible?
- What are the low/no cost measures that an organisation can also implement?
- What are the energy efficiency quick wins?
As requested by members this session focused on energy efficiency quick wins. Russell Layberry of Pilio* provided members with an overview of, including:
- Best practices for managing gas and heating systems to maximise efficiency and minimise waste.
- Insights into electricity consumption patterns and strategies for reducing usage and costs.
- The role of building fabric in energy efficiency and how to identify and address areas for improvement, with a focus on lower cost measures.
- Strategies for optimising ventilation to enhance indoor air quality while minimising energy consumption
Many thanks to everyone who attended and joined in the discussion, sharing their experiences and approaches. Members can watch the recordings and access all associated resources in their members area.
