The National Trust has had an Environmental Management System (EMS) for over 12 years. It’s been a journey from a stepped approach through Groundwork’s Green Dragon standard, to becoming ISO 14001 certified in 2022. As we come to the end of our first 3-year external audit cycle we are mulling over what our future EMS looks like from incorporating our Adaptation Planning Process to delivering nature recovery.
