Spring Site Visits and Events

We’ve got a busy year ahead, with plenty of site visits and events already planned for the spring. These include an exploration of all things sustainable transport, and the chance for members to get the inside scoop on ESOS. If you haven’t already booked on one of RSPB’s bioenergy to biomass site visits then there’s still time, with several more demos taking place in early February.

A sustainable finance event kicked things off last week,  hosted by Ashden at their offices in Victoria. Balance sheets and brownies were the order of the day with the agenda including expert panel presentations, a group discussion, and plenty of networking over lunch.

Event chair, Christoph Harwood of Marksman Consulting, was joined by Cathryn Hayhurst of the National Trust, Philip Bazin of Tridos bank, Colin James of West Sussex Council and Rob McGrigor of Kinetix Corporate Finance. The audience included a good mix of representatives from land and property owning organisations, community groups and county councils.

Another week, another event, as we head to London tomorrow for a meeting to discuss all things ESOS. Representatives from DECC will be on hand to reveal what’s coming up in 2015, and organisations will be sharing strategies and routes to compliance.

Beyond spring, there are several other big events in the pipeline, with topics ranging from responsible retrofit to wood fuel. Keep an eye on the Network calendar and our monthly updates for more info. If you’re already a member, you can contact us to book a place on any of the events currently listed.  We also look forward to welcoming new members to the Network in 2015. If you’re not yet involved, find out how to join and benefit from the collective knowledge of our members.
